The Virginia Association for Teachers of Family and Consumer Sciences, Inc. (VATFACS) invites you to attend the 2024 VATFACS Professional Development Institute to be held IN PERSON at the Madison Hotel and Shenandoah Valley Conference Center, July 21 – July 24, 2024. We anticipate at least 200 Family and Consumer Science educators and school administrators in attendance. The VATFACS institute is a great opportunity to connect with your FCS colleagues around Virginia.

AAFCS Broad Field FCS Exam
Virginia teachers or candidates are eligible to sit for the AAFCS Broad Field FCS assessment/certification on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 from 8:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. AAFCS is pleased to offer the Broad Field FCS assessment for educators in Virginia who are seeking initial licensure or who need to meet certification requirements to offer verified credit to their students.

Hybrid CPR-First Aid Training will be offered on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, during the credentialing and training session.
