ACFEF Accreditation Workshops

Topics covered during this hands-on workshop include how Virginia’s Culinary Arts I and II curriculum frameworks align to ACF standards, how to complete narratives, and how to build your self-study materials for the ACFEF Secondary Culinary Arts Accreditation program. Resources will be provided, technical assistance from chefs who have successfully completed the ACF Accreditation, and collaborative work time will be provided during this session. Please bring your accreditation packet, laptop, and come ready to learn and collaborate.
These sessions are specifically designed for instructors of Culinary Arts I and Culinary Arts II and CTE Administrators who are supporting the accreditation process.
If you are already registered to attend VATFACS PDI, you do not need to register for this session or order lunch. You will be able to select these sessions in your conference session pre-registration.
The schedule is:
Monday, July 18, 2022 from 9:00am to 11:45am
Lunch Break from 11:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Monday, July 18, 2022 from 1:45pm to 5:00pm
The cost of the training is free.
VATFACS is offering a boxed luncheon with a keynote speaker to begin the VATFACS Professional Development Institute at 12pm. Attendees are welcome to purchase a boxed lunch and hear the luncheon speaker, Alan Harris, Head of Education, IMAGO - Presentation title: A Hero’s Journey or have lunch on their own.
Recordings of presentations and copies of resources will be provided after the conclusion of the VATFACS PDI.
